Corporate Social Responsibility

As a business and as individuals, we’re passionate about helping good causes and we positively engage in grassroots activities to benefit the communities in which we work. Whether it's donating household items to local refuges, upcycling materials so that they can be used in schools, or donating materials for community use, we like to help.

Some of our most recent efforts include:

  • Creating a wetlands area for the local Golborne High School to help biodiversity in the area and education
  • Building habitat areas, clearing paths and planting trees at The Mersey Forest through regular volunteer days
  • Donating £100,000 across over 80 local community groups and charities in 2020
  • At Bacton we donated tonnes of concrete plinths to protect the Norfolk coast and prevent coastal erosion
Our charity committee meets monthly and encourages employees to suggest local projects or charities they would like us to support. Our own employees' fundraising efforts are also eligible to receive a donation of up to £1000, subject to the approval of the local charity committee. All our employees can also take two days paid leave a year to volunteer in their local communities – including our graduates and apprentices.
