At Murphy, sustainability means ensuring a positive future for everyone and it is central to our company.
This is why we have developed a sustainability road map to drive our sustainability agenda forward. The road map is designed to help us build our engagement with stakeholders, inside and outside the company, plan our sustainability journey, and encourage participation and change.
Our sustainability road map adopts the widely-recognised 'people, planet, profit' model to define sustainability. Across these three pillars, the road map describes 12 focus areas that we believe have the most relevance to our company, and where our activities and operations have the largest impact (both positive and negative).
Each focus area consists of one or more key topics and targets that will be reviewed and updated on an annual basis. Monitoring and reporting our performance against these targets will indicate our overall progress towards meeting our sustainability objectives.
