Our capabilities include:

Marine pipelines and engineering

  • We operate, consult and advise in the specialist areas of pipeline and cable landfalls; river, estuary and sea crossings; outfalls and intakes; offloading lines, bundles, sealines and in the installation of mooring systems for tanker moorings (CBMs and SPMs).
  • We have developed and refined a complete range of pipeline pulling and towing techniques; using linear winches and wire ropes for pulling pipes and using tugs and support vessels for floating and towing applications.  Our Flow-Lay® method offers an economical and controlled surface tow and installation system for flowlines and bundles.
  • We supply and operate construction barges, pipeline trenching machines and provide land and hydrographic survey and specialist ROV services. Please see our section on winch, barge and equipment hire.

Specialist marine operations

  • Our specialist marine operations division has the imagination, the techniques and the personnel to solve a range of marine installation challenges; our specialists operate in diverse fields from installing marine anchors and piles for SPMs, to pioneering a high effective system for detecting and recovering nuclear particles from on or under the seabed,
  • From Active Effluent Discharge Lines (AEDLs) from decommissioned nuclear power stations to mooring systems for SPMs and CALM Buoys, we have the knowledge, the equipment and skills to perform.
  • We have experienced marine superintendents, hydrographic surveyors, skilled technicians and operators, barge crew and riggers to do the job, wherever it is.  From providing linear winches and the skilled personnel to operate them, to developing techniques and equipment to repair pipelines, to recover outfall pipes which were potentially contaminated with nuclear waste to recovering nuclear particles buried in the seabed, we have the experience and know-how to operate in the inshore waters around the UK and worldwide.
  • We carry out a range of specialist marine operations including nuclear outfall pipeline decommissioning, retrieval of radioactive particles from the seabed and repair of subsea pipelines.
