J. Murphy and Sons Ltd’s work for Network Rail through the Control Period (CP) Programmes framework has been extended for a further two years, running from the end of the current CP5 agreement until 2021.
Danny O’Brien, Murphy’s infrastructure managing director said: “This extension has been awarded on the back of a great performance, the initial two year extension will deliver a potential £100 million to allow investment in our teams, and keep us on track to achieving our ten year plan. We now have the opportunity to build on our successes from Control Period 5 into Control Period 6, living our One Murphy core value and continue to exceed our customer’s expectations.”
The existing CP5 contract has run since 2014, during which time successful project delivery has been underpinned by industry-leading place KPI rankings and investment in efficient and ground-breaking new innovations.
