Training and Development

At Murphy, we recognise that our employees’ continuing development is vital to our success, so we aim to provide them with opportunities to learn and develop throughout their career. Ongoing support, guidance and training ensures they have the necessary skills to excel in their role, and prepares them for the next step up on their chosen career path.

We are also committed to annual performance reviews, which take place between all employees and their line managers. The aim of these reviews is to discuss progress and career aspirations.

Training and development is provided both through on-the-job training with colleagues and managers and off-the-job training through attendance on some of our many training courses, such as: management development programmes; graduate and school leaver training programmes; in-house training programmes; educational courses and professional qualifications.

Purpose-built training facilities are also established at each regional office to support the training programme.
